Dr. Thomas Sutton
Dr. Sutton first came to the Colorado Springs community as a Captain in the United States Air Force, stationed at Peterson Air Force Base in 1978, after having graduated from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. Upon completion of his three-year tour, Dr. Sutton opened his own private practice in July of 1981. Shortly thereafter, he assumed the practice of Dr. George Tull, and has been serving the needs of the civilian community ever since. Dr. Sutton maintains two offices in Colorado Springs, one near Penrose Main Hospital at 2111 N. Weber St., the other near the Southeast intersection of Lehman and Academy.
The scope of Optometric practice has changed dramatically over these last three decades, and Dr. Sutton has evolved with those changes to provide state-of -the-art care to his patients. He has been a member of the American Optometric Association since 1974, and the Colorado Optometric Association since 1980. Continuing membership in these organizations requires maintaining levels of expertise through continuing education and constant monitoring of developments in the profession.
Technology is constantly evolving in the area of contact lens design, spectacle optical design, improvements of materials, contact lens solutions, pharmaceutical agents, advancements in diagnostic equipment, and interpretation of data. It is the goal of Dr. Sutton's practice to deliver the best possible care to all of his patients utilizing the advances science is providing for us. His extremely personable, knowledgeable and professional staff is eager to continue our service to this community.
